Residents at Glencorse Care Home recently enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on the water with Seagull Trust Cruises. The relaxing boat trip gave everyone the chance to enjoy the beautiful Midlothian scenery that surrounds our home, while spending quality time together. With cups of tea and coffee in hand, our residents made the most of the peaceful surroundings and enjoyed plenty of friendly conversation as we cruised along the water.
The outing was particularly special for our resident John, who used to drive boats himself. Being back on the water brought back many happy memories of his time at the helm, and he loved sharing stories of his experiences with our team and fellow residents.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was seeing John take the wheel once again, clearly delighted to be back doing something he loves. He also had the opportunity to catch up with some of his former colleagues, making the experience even more meaningful. It was heartwarming to see John back in his element, surrounded by familiar faces and enjoying a passion that has played such an important part in his life.
